Kerrie Wadwell is inaugural CEO of The Concord, the Croatian Club's new build in Sydney.

Parramatta Leagues Club Chief Operating Officer Kerrie Wadwell has taken on the inaugural role of Chief Executive Officer of The Concord, currently under construction by The Croatian Club in Sydney’s inner west.

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been appointed and have commenced my new role as the inaugural CEO of The Concord,” she told followers. The club has been approached for comment on the appointment.

Prior to Parramatta Leagues, Wadwell was General Manager at the Australian Turf Club and Business Operations Manager at Club Menangle. Prior to that, Wadwell was Business Partnership Manager at Tabcorp Gaming Solutions and was also at ITG.

The Croatian Club Ltd sold its former site in Punchbowl and purchased the old Concord RSL and Bowling Club, on 2100sqm in Sydney’s inner west, from RSL NSW for $8.55m in November 2021.

Since the purchase, the Croatian Club has been working towards delivering the new club, gutting the original building last year. It released detailed design plans to Club Management earlier this year and the new club is now emerging on the site after the plans received DA approval.

The Concord will feature a design by Altis Architecture, new livery with hints of Croatian colours and food inspired by the Dalmatian Coast with fresh and grilled seafood, plus a rotisserie for whole pigs or lamb and two wood-fired pizza ovens set in an outdoor alfresco area inspired by Croatia’s Adriatic coast. There will also be an upstairs events and function centre in the main building.
