Redcliffe RSL has wrapped up its latest renovations, which has resulted in previously underutilised areas of the venue being maximised and given new purpose and functionality.

Working with Ashley Cooper Construction and BSPN Architecture, the club invested over $6 million to deliver a new kids play area, cafe, and state-of-of the art kitchen for its catering team.

“Our aim was to provide our members and guests a venue that steers away from the traditional club feeling when visiting. Showcasing local artists with unique pieces and murals helped us create warmth and elegance throughout,” Redcliffe RSL general manager Peter Forsey said.

He continued to explain how the club wanted to create a range of spaces that could cater for ages that felt warm and elegant throughout.

“Our aim was to create eclectic spaces for a variety of members to enjoy,” Forsey said.

“Whether they are visiting for our daily free live entertainment or just want to dine and relax on the alfresco deck with ocean views of Moreton Bay.”

Additionally, the club built a new multi-level team wellness room to accommodate its growing team. A similar touch of sophistication was also brought to the club’s new amenities and parents’ room.

While the work began in November 2024, Forsey said the renovation work has been strategically planned for the last couple of years.

It builds off the back of the club’s refresh in 2023 that saw the main bistro area and bar areas receive a glow-up with new high-end finishes, new lighting, and an updated point-of-sale for the bistro.

“Our members are so supportive of our club and amazing team. They deserve the best possible experience so, it was essential to provide the best facilities,” Forsey said.

“Staging our master plan over a couple of years, gave us the ability to minimise the disruption to the operation and patrons overall experience, whilst complementing other areas of the venue.”
