Redcliffe RSL Club has completed its much-delayed refresh, with a design by BSPN Architects and a build undertaken by Ashley Cooper Construction, after the pandemic put the brakes on the refurb.
“We are a home away from home for many of our members, veterans, and people in the community, so we always strive to provide the best experience and the best facilities possible,” Redcliffe RSL Club General Manager Peter Forsey told Club Management. “We had originally planned to complete the minor reno before the pandemic changed the strategic landscape for the club.”
While Covid had other ideas for the club north of Brisbane, once reactivated, Ashley Cooper Construction said the refurbishment modernised the space and helped streamline the RSL’s restaurant operations with an update of the main bistro area and the refurbishment of multiple bars within the space. The new fitout included high-end finishes, new light fittings and an updated point-of-sale for the bistro.
“Our team also installed new carpet throughout the seating area, and relocated the stage and dance floor in line with the RSL’s fresh layout,” the club-savvy construction company said.
Forsey said BSPN and Ashley Cooper delivered on all levels and within budget, beginning at the end of January and completing the project in early March.
“Our most recent upgrades were what we called ‘a cosmetic upgrade’ including the look of the main bar, the bistro servery, carpet, and furniture. We also relocated our stage and dance floor to increase seating for the ever-growing Redcliffe community, whilst upgrading our networking capabilities throughout the venue to allow for more point of sales and better WiFi coverage.
“For such a small turnaround and seeing the before and after, we are very pleased with the results. Our members deserve the best, so it is why we are constantly looking to provide the best club possible to complement our wonderful team of staff,” Forsey said.
Chinchilla’s renovation is absolutely Fantastic. Just looking at photos of different clubs and Chinchilla stands out by far. Love , love it.
