The new Integrative Health Clinic that has opened at Harbord Diggers.

Mounties Group has unveiled its Integrative Health Clinic at Harbord Diggers, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The new clinic combines general practitioners with complementary practitioners such as naturopaths, health coaches, nurses and nutritionists and is also a complement to Watermark Freshwater, The Diggers’ senior living residences for over 55s.

Dr Penny Caldicott, President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA) and founder of the Central Coast’s Invitation to Health Integrative Health Clinic leads the Integrated Health Clinic team.

Dr Penny Caldicott will lead the Integrative Health Clinic team.

“We are very excited to be opening our newest clinic on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with Mounties Care. I will be joined by a number of health professionals to allow people to experience their full range of services through integrative health medicine,” Dr Caldicott said.

The Mounties Care Integrative Health Clinic offers traditional GP services for commonly occurring health issues as well as preventative medicine. In addition, the clinic will specialise in providing additional integrative lifestyle approaches for more complex health problems. This model has demonstrated exceptional results in areas such as anxiety, depression, digestive problems, insomnia, allergies, diabetes and other chronic and inflammatory conditions.

The clinic complements on-site seniors living at Harbord Diggers which features 96 spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom contemporary apartments with panoramic Pacific Ocean views.

The Freshwater Clinic, located in the Health & Wellness precinct of Harbord Diggers, has five consultation rooms as well as a dedicated IV treatment centre.

“What we are most excited about is our clinic’s dedicated programs that we will offer our patients, depending on their symptoms and conditions. This includes our deep health program, diabetes program, metabolic transformation program and IV vitamin therapy,” Dr Caldicott said.

The Harbord clinic is the first of several, with future clinics expected to open at Guildford and Mount Pritchard. Mounties Group has also purchased the Wyoming-based Invitation to Health.

“With over 200,000 members and growing, our journey into health saw us develop a retirement living community here at Harbord Diggers and we are now excited to be offering home care and healthcare services under Mounties Care,” Mounties Group CEO Dale Hunt said.

“After acquiring two GP practices, this Freshwater Mounties Care Integrative Health Clinic is an exciting achievement for us as we have built it from the ground up, based on the successful model of our Central Coast practice.

“With practitioners coming from far and wide to join this clinic, we are looking forward to opening the doors on Monday,” added Mr Hunt.

Integrative Health Clinics are expected to be rolled out at several more Mounties venues, including Mt Pritchard, Guildford and the Central Coast.
