As Spring Racing Carnival kicks off, Morphettville has launched Club Lago, a contemporary trackside day club experience.
The purpose-built area in front of the racecourse heritage-grand stand features a custom entry-way made from real stone, two custom bars, a 40-metre deck offering front-row seat to all the trackside action, plus private cabanas.
Inspired by the luxury of Lake Como in Italy, Club Lago is bringing the European summer to Adelaide. There’ll be DJ spinning house beats, special guest appearances from Adelaide’s renowned saxophonist Matt Sammut and flowing spritz.
“Club Lago is about creating a space that feels fresh, stylish, and fun,” Morphettville CEO Grant Mayer said.
“We wanted to bring guests of Morphettville a completely new and exciting experience, and we think we’ve done that.”
Morphettville has long been one of South Australia’s most exciting destinations for racing and events, and now with Club Lago, it’s stepping up into a whole new era of entertainment.
The first day of the carnival kicked off with Caulfield Cup Day on Saturday, and will until 8 November.
“Spring at Morphettville is about so much more than racing; it’s about the atmosphere, the fashion, the food, and the energy that brings South Australia together,” Mayer said.
“We’ve thought about our patrons and how we can service their race day experiences better and I strongly believe we have created experiences to meet and exceed their expectations. The team has worked tirelessly hard on an exciting new project, Club Lago, that we look forward to launching at Spring Carnival.”
Club Lago will remain as a permanent fixture at Morphettville every Saturday through to April 2026. The new activation space will also be available for private functions and hospitality events outside of race days.
