Encore by Mingara, a $24 million hotel development three decades in the making, recently opened its doors, marking a major milestone for the Mingara Leisure Group and the broader NSW Central Coast region.

The 86-room, four-star, four-storey hotel is the first to be built from the ground up on the Central Coast in more than a decade. Its completion represents the realisation of a long-held master plan vision by Mingara Recreation Club to cement its status as a “the greatest lifestyle destination on the Central Coast”.

Mingara Leisure Group outgoing CEO Paul Barnett said the hotel was designed to meet a long-identified need for high-quality accommodation on the Central Coast.

“For many years the Central Coast has needed additional quality hotel accommodation, and we are excited to be the first new hotel built from the ground up on the Central Coast in decades,” he said.

“The opening of our new hotel makes a significant contribution to the Central Coast region, and will support economic and tourism development here on the Coast.”

The hotel was delivered in partnership with Central Coast-based Red Eye Constructions, with architectural and interior design by Marchese Partners. The build commenced in August 2023 following four years of planning.

“We are also proud to partner with local Central Coast construction company, Red Eye Constructions, who have delivered an exceptional project for us. It’s been wonderful to support a local business with a project of this significance,” Barnett said.

Encore by Mingara combines contemporary Australian architecture with interiors informed by the Central Coast’s natural surrounds. Guests have access to the lifestyle and entertainment offering at Mingara Recreation Club, including restaurants, bars, an event centre, and fitness and aquatic facilities.

“Our entire team have worked extremely hard and as a collective, this is a significant achievement for the club, our members and the local community. We are extremely proud to be opening Encore by Mingara and making this contribution to the Central Coast,” Barnett said.
