The new look Fingal Bay Sports Club in Port Stephens.

Ramsgate RSL Club Group has unveiled Fingal Bay Sports Club’s $2.5 million makeover while also revealing to Club Management that Club Heathcote is next in line for a refit. Fingal Bay Sports Club in Port Stephens, north of Newcastle, amalgamated with Ramsgate RSL Club Group in 2020 with the renovation being part of the club’s commitment to the merger.

Renovations at Fingal Bay include the introduction of Ramsgate RSL’s The Kitchen by Mike’s Grill, plus a new Sports Lounge, The Greenery, The Pavilion and a kids’ playground.

“Ramsgate RSL are proud to have recently reopened our Fingal Bay Sports Club after a $2.5 million makeover,” Chief Operating Officer Nicole Heinrich informed Club Management. “The renovation has completely transformed our venue to make it a club the local community chooses.

“Since 1988 the club has always had a strong community identity. We believe this renovation has re-established our club as an important community asset in the Port Stephens region.”

The Pavilion caters for catch-ups and family groups and features a covered area with an indoor/outdoor feel. The Pavilion is also available for functions for 100-plus people and is handily located next to the new kids’ playground allowing parents and carers to supervise while the kids stay entertained.

Meanwhile, the all-new bistro The Kitchen by Mike’s Grill brings the Ramsgate RSL Club’s award-winning menu to Port Stephens. Another exciting addition is the new bottle shop, located within the club precinct, which has the added benefit of offering member pricing.

The Greenery is another multi-purpose area offering a range of different seating arrangements to take advantage of the outlook from the club. The Greenery is also available for functions for up to 50 people. Sports fans don’t miss out either, with The Sports Lounge featuring a 98” big-screen TV.

The Fingal Bay renovation will be now followed by an upgrade to Heathcote Club, in Sydney’s south, after Ramsgate RSL revealed it has submitted a DA to Sutherland Shire Council to transform the dated two-storey venue which merged with the group in May this year.

Ramsgate RSL Club is led by president Sallianne Faulkner, who is a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair of ClubNSW.

The Pavilion is adjacent to the new kids’ playground and allows supervision while the kids are entertained.
