A member of the North Queensland’s Cowboys Leagues Club was crowned the lucky winner of the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Footy Finals promotion.

“We were so incredibly happy to find out that one of our long-term regulars was the major winner,” stated Helen Smyth, Cowboys Leagues Club business development and loyalty manager.  

“Our winner, Ian, visits the club almost every day – and is a footy fan too – so it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving person. Ian was over the moon and actually did not believe he had won – it took a little bit to convince him!”

As part of the promotion, which ran from 4 September 2023 to 15 October 2023, patrons of participating venues were able to ‘Get a Taste of Finals Action’ and be in the chance to win a Toyota Rav4 Hybrid.

The promotion was part of the CCEP’s Postmix Pinnacle Program, designed to support venue partners in boosting postmix sales.

According to CCEP licenced general manager Mitchell Lenaghan, the uptake of the Footy Finals promotion among licensed venues was very strong across 1,800 customers where many venues requested for additional entry forms.

“Coca-Cola Footy Finals promotion stood out as the jewel in the crown in our Postmix Pinnacle Campaign for 2023, delivering an activity that not only embodied the spirit of ‘Only Coke Can Do’ but also ignited consumer interest, delivering our highest ever consumer engagement, transaction frequency and sales value for a Pinnacle Campaign,” he said.

“Customers who activated Footy Finals achieved sales increases of up to 12 per cent versus non-activated customers, an outstanding result in a challenging environment.”

Smyth agreed that being part of the promotion was an excellent opportunity for the club and its members and guests.

“We are proud to be the number one in soft drink sales across all clubs in North Queensland. The postmix program plays a massive part in this, and we look forward to continuing our valued relationship with CCEP,” Smyth said.

She added it’s important to the club to collaborate with its suppliers, especially if there’s a chance to create a fun experience for its members and guests.

“CCEP has always delivered some exciting promotions to our venue, which we see as an extremely valuable added benefit for those who patronise our club. Being a leagues club, the Footy Finals promotion was of course a great fit for us, and how fitting that a leagues club was the venue for the major prize and winner,” she said.

To mark the winning occasion, celebrations were held at the Cowboys Leagues Club with representatives from both the venue and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners along with the winner and their partner.
