Canterbury League Club will be showing off its new function spaces during its Events Expo on 10 April.
In partnership with Calida Projects and Altis Architecture, the western Sydney club has in just 10 months delivered a new 500-person function space, known as the Showroom, and another 150-person events room called the Terrace, completing the club’s refurbishment of the north-eastern wing on level one.
“This part of the club can now cater for a range of different functions and events from small meetings to personal celebrations and all manner of corporate events,” said Greg Bygraves, Canterbury League Club general manager for sales and marketing.
“With the area now complete, it’s the perfect opportunity to invite people to come and experience these five separate spaces set up to showcase all the various possibilities.”
In addition to hosting functions, Bygraves hopes the Showroom will allow the club to attract new high-quality shows for members.
“The new Showroom will allow us to attract entertainment that was previously unavailable to the Club due to our limited capacity,” he said.
“Moving all our function facilities to level one, will also afford us the opportunity for more exciting development in the area of the club’s previous showroom.”
The new space was unveiled when the club played host to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldog 2024 NRL season launch in early March.
During the Events Expo, attendees will receive a tour of the Terrace and Blueberry function rooms, as well as the Showroom which will be in full swing with live entertainment. Attendees will also get a walk-through of the club’s SportsPlus Clubhouse and Bartega bar that were also built as part of the club’s level one renovations.
