Cabra-Vale Diggers Group has announced the commencement of the Campbelltown RSL multi-stage redevelopment project, which is scheduled to be launched in various stages over the next few years.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday 2 September, marking the commencement of the transformation journey, which the group believes will “redefine the landscape of entertainment, dining, and leisure in Campbelltown”.
The new building will feature a 111-room hotel and two levels of underground parking. On the ground floor, there’ll be a cafe, bar, and restaurant, while level one will be open to a gaming and sports arena, plus a multi-functional space, including a day spa and gym.
“We are thrilled to start the journey of bringing this development to life,” said Boris Belevski, CEO at Cabra-Vale Diggers Group.
“This development is about creating a hub for the community, a place where we can all come together, socialise and celebrate. The new club and hotel building will be a landmark for our community offering state of the art facilities to enjoy bringing tourism and jobs to the Campbelltown area and changing the face of Queen Street.”
Ahead of major construction of the new club, Campbelltown RSL has unveiled a refresh of the club’s new restaurant, known as The Loft. Blending industrial loft charm with the cozy ambience of a bistro, The Loft offers a menu that brings Mediterranean and Asian flavours together with club classics.
The commencement of the Campbelltown RSL redevelopment comes as the group continues its Canley Vale Cabra-Vale Diggers club redevelopment. Due to open in June 2025 will be a 140-room Novotel hotel with a pool, bars, gym, and a 160-seater steakhouse and whisky bar with an in-house butchery and a dry-aged wagyu fridge. Additionally, a 300-seat Italian restaurant, inspired by the interior design of Starbuck’s Reserve in Milan, Italy, will also open, promising an all-day dining concept led by the group’s culinary ambassador Danny Karam.
