Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich has recently upgraded its sporting facilities in a bid to provide additional, modern facilities to cater for community sport.

In response to growing female participation in rugby league, the club expanded the two dated dressing rooms to four spacious dressing rooms featuring new shower and bathroom facilities.

According to the club, the project is a direct reflection of its vision to support and provide opportunities for local sporting organisations, particularly the growing the number of female athletes.

“Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich has always been more than just a venue – we are a community hub dedicated to fostering participation, inclusivity, and excellence in sport,” Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich general manager Matt Simonov said.

“This project aligns with our vision of ensuring that everyone, regardless of age, gender, or background, has the opportunity to play, grow, and succeed. We are incredibly proud to partner with the Queensland Government to bring this vision to life.”

The expansion was made possible with the Queensland government’s Minor Infrastructure and Inclusive Facilities Fund that contributed $350,000 towards the project, while Brothers Leagues put in another $250,000. The upgrade was carried out by Melrose Construction, COHA Group, and BSPN.

Most recently, the club was a Best Football Club finalist at the 2025 Clubs Queensland Awards, while general manager Matt Simonov was crowned Club Manager of the Year.
