Western Sydney’s St Marys Diggers Club will officially open its long-awaited new dining and family precinct, Brell House, on Saturday 25 October.
The $25 million redevelopment, which has been delivered in two stages over the past three years, expands the club’s capacity by 900 with its new indoor and outdoor areas.
St Marys Diggers Club general manager Marlene Shipley said the project is designed to meet the needs of the growing local community.
“We wanted to create something special for St Marys and local community they don’t have and that they could enjoy without having to leave the area,” she said.
Brell House features a 650-seat dining area, a new bar, cafe, and a 150-seat function room. Outside, guests can book one of 10 cabana-style booths, ideal for birthdays and group gatherings, or make use of the terraces and expansive play areas. There’ll even be dedicated teenager cabanas with TVs, Xbox consoles, and charging points.
Food will be provided by hospitality group Great Eats, which is the same Sydney-based team behind St Siandra and Bondi Icebergs Club.
“They have an amazing reputation and having Great Eats coming on board for dining enhances the experience and place for the local community,” Shipley said.
Offering will range from a classic schnitzel or burger through to seafood platters and premium cuts of steak.
The redevelopment follows the amalgamation of St Marys RSL and St Marys Band Club in 2019 and complements the club’s earlier refurbishment works, which included a new Chinese restaurant, gaming floor and reception.
The refurbishment has been led by architecture firm, GroupN, while Redwah is behind the interiors, and construction has been carried out by McCann Construction.
