More than 7,500 people are expected to visit the upcoming Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) 2024, set to take place from August 13 to 15 at the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney).

This year will mark the 35th anniversary for the AGE. Since the first show held in Sydney in 1990, AGE has grown to become one of the world’s largest gaming and hospitality trade shows.

AGE 2023 was a record year, with nearly 7,700 visitors and a combined 9,600 visits over the three-day event.

This year, over 200 exhibitors will fill the expo floor, including multinational companies with footprints in the UK, Europe, Americas, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

“The Australasian Gaming Expo continues to go from strength to strength in terms of visitor numbers and the number of exhibitors, with overwhelming feedback about the breadth of goods and services represented under one roof,” Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) CEO Jinesh Patel said.

“It is the unique mix of manufacturers, service providers, venue operators, players, plus government and regulators in the one spot that is driving the growth of the AGE.”

AGE 2023 saw the introduction of a combined Gaming Machine Manufacturers Cocktail event organised by the GTA. In previous years, manufacturers ran their hospitality events separately, but they united to host one event for AGE visitors in 2023. According to GTA, which hosts AGE, the feedback from visitors and exhibitors from the event last year were extremely positive and the initiative will continue this year.

Beyond the expo floor, there will be seminars addressing key topics including cashless gaming options, anti-money laundering, gambling harm mitigation requirements, and central monitoring systems.

These seminars are also expected to provide insight into surviving the current global conditions by staying informed, driving innovation, remaining agile, and embracing technology to free staff from the mundane to focus on improving themselves and the business.

“There is now a greater need for people to reconnect for networking and to see tangible technology advancements including those to tackle anti-money laundering and gambling harm mitigation measures,” Patel said.
