Nominations for the 2024 Tasmanian Hospitality Association Awards for Excellence will be closing on Sunday June 30.
It’s a chance for all Tasmanian hospitality businesses to nominate for this year’s awards.
“Our annual Awards for Excellence are a cornerstone event on the Tasmanian hospitality calendar. They provide an invaluable platform to showcase the remarkable talents and hard work that define our industry,” THA chief executive Steven Old said.
“Each award is a testament to the dedication, creativity, and passion of the individuals who are the heartbeat of the sector, who continuously strive to deliver exceptional experiences for locals and visitors alike.
“Tasmanian hospitality is built on the foundation of excellence, and these awards are an opportunity to celebrate those who go above and beyond. They not only recognise individual and team achievements but also inspire others to elevate their standards. By highlighting these successes, we set a benchmark for quality and innovation, driving the entire industry forward.”
Entry categories include Best RSL, Sporting or Community Club, Best TAB Wagering Venue, Wine List of the Year, Best Sports Bar, and Best Hospitality Experiences. Taking out last year’s Best RSL, Sporting or Community Club category was the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania.
According to Old, celebrating the achievements of industry is crucial given the current climate in which the industry operates in.
“It boosts morale, fosters a sense of community, and acknowledges the significant contributions of our members to Tasmania’s economy and culture. In an industry that often demands long hours and unwavering commitment, these awards serve as a well-deserved recognition of the efforts and successes of our peers. They also provide a rare opportunity to bring operators from around the state together,” he said.
“In essence, the Awards for Excellence are more than just accolades. They are a celebration of our industry’s spirit, a recognition of the exceptional work being done, and an inspiration for continued growth and innovation.”
Judging will take place between July 15 and September 15, before winners are announced at the 2024 THA Awards for Excellence gala event on October 30.
