RSL & Services Clubs Association (RSL & SCA) will be hosting the fourth Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Forum on Monday 28 October at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club to explore how DE&I can drive growth, foster community engagement, and improve operational outcomes for clubs across Australia.
The one-day event will kick-off with a keynote by RSL & SCA CEO Margot Smith who will present The Business Case for DE&I in RSL & Services Clubs, offering practical insights into how DE&I initiatives can benefit club operations and community involvement.
“It’s a unique opportunity to gain insights from industry leaders, develop inclusive strategies, and connect with fellow members and partners committed to making a difference,” Smith said.
Others that are set to join Smith on stage will include Shane Skeen from AustralianSuper who will provide hands-on guidance for managers and leaders on making inclusive decisions that will respect and promote diversity within their teams and memberships.
Australian Disability Network CEO Corene Strauss will showcase how employers can welcome and include people with disabilities, both as employees and customers. There’ll also be a Best Practices in Clubs talk by Ravinder Singh from Multicultural NSW on how to engage with diverse cultural groups for community and economic prosperity.
There’ll also be special guest interviews with key leaders including Parliamentary Secretary for Disability Inclusion Liesel Tesch and Angus Hamill from ABC’s The Assembly.
