Mollymook Golf Club is set to unveil a major refurbishment at its stunning NSW South Coast beachside setting by the end of the year, just in time for the summer crowds. The club is currently undergoing a transformation, that will result in a modern and stylish look that is sure to impress members and guests.
“Mollymook Golf Club at Beachside is more than just a club, it is a community icon, a place where generations of people from all walks of life have come together to socialise and enjoy the fantastic views of Mollymook Beach,” said Mollymook Golf Club General Manager John Holt.
Originally built in 1969, there have been many changes to the building and services offered over the years.
“The last upgrade was back in 2008 and after 15 years of demanding trade, the club is showing signs of wear and tear,” Holt added. “Over the course of 2023, the entire upper level will be upgraded to provide new dining and lounge areas as well as new gaming room facilities.”
The new look Mollymook Golf Club fitout is designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking beachside location. The interior design is described as modern and sophisticated, with a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
“From the moment you step inside, you will be surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean, beaches, and greenery. The decor is earthy and natural, with wood and stone features throughout. The furniture is comfortable, stylish, and inviting, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere,” the club says.
The revamped Bistro and Bar will feature a variety of seating options, including high-top tables, cosy booths, and relaxing lounge areas.
“Whether you’re looking for a casual lunch spot, a family dinner, or an elegant evening out, the new bistro and bar is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal and great company,” the club said.
Sutherland and Wollongong-based Outline Interiors worked closely with the club to design a space that was both modern and comfortable, while still reflecting the club’s style.
“We used natural materials, such as wood and stone, to create a warm and inviting atmosphere reflective of its amazing location,” they said.
As part of the renovation, an expanded bottle shop facility is being introduced to enhance stock lines and incorporate a greater selection of products sourced from local suppliers.
In the gaming room, the goal is to create an indoor and outdoor gaming experience that is both calming and welcoming. It will also include the latest technologies and modern design elements to create a luxurious and contemporary atmosphere.
“There will be plenty of comfortable seating, a variety of light fixtures, and ambient music to create a relaxed atmosphere,” the club said.
During renovation works, the club says it is business as usual with a few short-term logistical tweaks. Beachside Bistro has temporarily relocated downstairs to the Ocean View Room and is also offering a new menu until the renovations are complete.
Meanwhile, Melissa McGroder, Founder + CEO of My Marketing Department which is handling the relaunch, said it was great to see so many club master plans coming to fruition after many delays over the past few years.
“The clubs that are getting it right are the ones who are utilising their marketing teams from a very early stage to ensure they’re on the front foot, not just in terms of launch success but in terms of getting the concept right for the target demographic from the very start,” she said.
