Mounties, Gosford RSL and Wenty Leagues have been named among the 139 finalists of ClubsNSW’s 2024 Clubs & Community Awards.
The annual awards recognise the social contributions made by clubs in their local areas across nine categories: arts, culture and entertainment; education; emergency services; fostering grassroots sport; health care; heart of the community; mental wellbeing; social inclusion; and environmental sustainability.
ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant said she was thrilled by the record number of finalists and the quality of submissions this year.
“We received submissions from clubs who go above and beyond to provide sporting facilities and opportunities for those with special needs or disabilities, who have created unique programs to support the mental health of veterans, or even funded the university education of those less fortunate,” she said.
“I am so proud to represent an industry that looks after its communities in the vast and diverse ways that clubs do, and I can’t wait for their efforts to be recognised publicly.”
A full list of the finalists can be found here.
The winners will be announced at the Clubs & Community Awards Night at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on 6 June 2024.
