Catering HQ has fundraised a total of $52,410, which it has donated to the GIVIT Foundation to support victims of the devastating NSW mid-north coast floods.

The funds were raised between 23 May and 30 June, with Catering HQ donating $5 from every chicken schnitzel sold across its seven venues, including Castle Hill RSL, Club Parramatta and Pittwater RSL. A total of 9,347 schnitzels were sold during the campaign, exceeding the company’s initial goal of $30,000.

“We are proud that we over achieved our initial goal thanks to the support of our community, staff and loyal customers,” Catering HQ group managing director Steve Sidd said.

According to Sidd, supporting the GIVIT Foundation aligned closely with the company’s values.

“As a leading hospitality group, Catering HQ sets an example for peers and competitors. Supporting community initiatives positions the company as an industry leader that balances profit with purpose, showing hospitality in its truest sense,” he said.

“Whether it’s feeding those in need, funding local projects, or mentoring young talent, these initiatives make a tangible difference. A consistent record of giving back builds long-term community resilience, which in turn benefits everyone, including the business itself.”

For Catering HQ, choosing to support the GIVIT Foundation was a natural fit.

“GIVIT is well known for connecting donations directly with people in genuine need, ensuring that support is practical, efficient, and meaningful,” Sidd said.

Fundraising is also an important driver of company morale, Sidd added.

“Employees feel proud to work for an organization that invests in its community. Supporting meaningful causes boosts morale, engagement, and retention by giving staff a sense of shared purpose beyond day-to-day operations.”
