ClubsNSW has announced a record of 142 finalists in its 2025 Clubs & Community Awards, following last year’s list of 139 finalists.

The awards recognise the role that clubs make in communities across the state in nine main categories: arts, culture and entertainment; education; emergency services; environmental sustainability; fostering grassroots sport; healthcare; heart of the community; mental wellbeing; and social inclusion.

ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant said the calibre of this year’s finalists demonstrate the enormous role that clubs play in the fabric of communities across NSW.

“I’m enormously proud of the social impact that NSW clubs have and the causes they champion, which collectively help to make our state a better place to live,” she said.

“Whether it’s feeding the most vulnerable members of society, assisting parents with the cost of junior sport registration or helping our veterans, communities continue to be enriched every day by registered clubs.

“While they don’t set out to be recognised, the social and economic impact of clubs, which is collectively worth $9 billion to NSW annually, deserves to be celebrated.”

Among the big list of finalists include Toronto Diggers’ Filling the Pantry initiative designed to feed locals doing it tough, Revesby Workers’ Club School Subsidy Program helping students’ schooling journeys, and Wyong Rugby League Club’s helping families in the Central Coast struggling with the costs associated with playing junior support.

Other finalists include Workers Lifestyle Group for its employment forum for Indigenous Youth, St George Leagues Club’s Recycle 4 Research program, and Shoalhaven Ex-Services Group’s initiative aimed at backing women’s football.

The winners will be announced at the Clubs & Community Awards Night at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on Thursday, 19 June 2025.
