Dedes Group has taken over dining operations at Sydney’s prestigious Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), following the club’s decision to part ways with The Boathouse Group just a year into their partnership.
Describing the collaboration as a natural fit, Dedes Group director Con Dedes said the opportunity to partner with CYCA was immediately appealing.
“When the opportunity arose to partner with The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia in Rushcutters Bay Sydney, we obviously felt immediately comfortable with all the complimentary aspects of this beautiful hospitality asset – not to mention a few big boats parked alongside,” he told Club Management.
But Dedes Group is no stranger to the club space. The group holds existing partnerships with the Sydney Rowing Club and the Regatta Club at Haberfield Rowers.
“Being hospitality partners at two existing registered clubs already – namely The Sydney Rowing Club from 1996 with our brand Watergrill and The Regatta Club (Haberfield Rowers) recently, arms us with the capabilities to execute the experiences that members and guests should be accustomed to and deserve. That is the very best that Sydney has to offer in a casual dining or special event experience,” Dedes said.
He added the addition of CYCA to the group’s portfolio strengthens Dedes Waterfront Group’s focus on waterfront dining, which also includes other venues such as Flying Fish, Sala, and Deckhouse.
“It fits perfectly into the portfolio’s wheelhouse in that it has direct waterfront access and it is now cemented as a unique selling point within our group with the multiple experiences that one can have on the water,” Dedes said.
