Community Clubs Victoria (CCV) has announced the finalists for the 2024 CCV Gala Dinner and Awards.
The annual awards recognise the high-performing individuals and clubs whose efforts contribute to the social and economic wellbeing of their local Victorian communities. There are a total of 18 award categories including Club Person of the Year, Best Community Club Refurbishment, Club Manager of the Year, Social Impact Award, Regional Best Club Bistro/Restaurant, Metro Best Club Bistro/Restaurant, and Sport and Entertainment Award.
Named among the finalists for this year include Altona Sports Club, Ballarat Golf Club, Chirnside Park Country Club, Ocean Grove Bowling Club, and Warragul Sporting and Social Club.
CCV chief executive Andrew Lloyd said that the judges this year were impressed by the quality of clubs award submissions, particularly the volunteer and community focused initiatives that its members champion and contribute to their local communities.
“Clubs are the quiet achievers who undertake such important work in their local areas across so many things, such as sustainability projects, charitable causes and providing facilities for community groups to come together,” he said.
“The awards also provide an amazing opportunity to recognise individuals who have devoted their careers to their club. Recognising these people provides such a reward to them personally and their families for their support.”
This year’s awards gala will be held at the prestigious RACV City Club in Melbourne on Saturday 6 July, 2024.
“We look forward to welcoming our members, VIPs, and industry stakeholders who support this great event,” Lloyd said.
