Cronulla RSL has announced a significant change in its food operations, with the appointment of a new catering partner for the first time in 13 years.
Catering HQ – which works with several other Sydney clubs including Castle Hill RSL, Pittwater RSL and Lynwood Country Club – has been appointed to take over the food operations at Cronulla RSL from Tuesday 28 November.
Under the guidance of Catering HQ, the club’s menu will be revamped and include a more extensive list of seafood options to complement the venue’s coastal setting. There will also be a more diverse range of dining options from grazing platters to char-grilled dishes. Club classics will also feature heavily on the menu.
Cronulla RSL will also launch all-inclusive bottomless drink and dine packages that will run for two hours for groups of eight or more. These packages can be pre-ordered and enjoyed on the Deck or in the Sunroom. Various options are available starting at just $85 per person. The drink and dine packages will be available from 1 December, but bookings have already opened.
The club has also made changes to its service and bookings model when it comes to F&B. While counter orders are still available for those who prefer it, diners now have the option of placing orders directly from their seats. Club staff now also deliver meals directly to tables, offering a more enjoyable dining experience without diners needing to leave their seats.
And in response to member and guest feedback, the club is now offering online reservations for spaces that were previously only accessible through the Events Team. Patrons can now book via the club’s website to reserve the Cabana or Terrace for 15-30 people and the Beachside Deck for 20-40 people.
The Club’s new culinary direction comes as the venue is about to embark on a renovation of Level 3 of the building. Interior designer Ritchie Stevens from Monocle Designs has drafted plans for the Sunroom, Migaloos and the restaurant area formerly known as Watergrill, showcasing a new Mediterranean style concept.
Renovations of Level 3 begin in February 2024.
